The variety Tempranillo, has in our land an early ripeness, with compact, very regular and middle-size clusters. Moderate yield and very high quality.
GROWING
The berries that give as result our VIÑA LUPARIA 6 meses en barrica, were planted 20 years ago, in a sandy and some limy soil (20% aprox.). The plots are located at 850 m. of altitude. Wire-trained vines, with a yield of 5.500 Kg/Ha. Harvest began early September.
WINEMAKING
The berries were hand-picked . After destemming and crushing, the juice of the grapes is put into stainless-steel 25.000 L vats. Maceration lasted 15 days to reach the nesserary colour and acidity balances, and fermentation took place at 25ºC.
AGEING


6 months in French and American oak barrels
TASTING NOTES
Cherry colour with ochre hints.
Powerful red fruits and licorice jam, in perfect harmony with the quality oak where it has aged.
In mouth, smooth and round entry, well structured with a nice and harmonic end.
SERVING
This wine has passed just natural clarification processes, so decanting is recommended.

Wine tasting note:
Sight: Attractive purple cherry tone, clean, with hues of blue and of a good intensity.
Nose: Expressive and well defined with flower, cherry, and strawberry aromas as well a light hint of balsamic notes, chocolate y spices (licorice).
Mouth: Good attack, powerful with balanced tannins and a good volume.

Variety: 95% Tempranillo, 20% Syrah, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Origin: Tinedo Estate. Socuéllamos, Ciudad Real.

Climate and characteristics of the year: Short growth cycle and early ripening due to dry warm winds at the end of a particularly dry summer. Budding and flowering were normal.

Harvesting: Mechanical by night, during the second week of September.

Making and ageing:
Fermentation temperature: 25 ºC, in tanks with temperature control.
Fermentation time: 3 days of cold maceration and 7 days of alcoholic maceration, with dumping over and “delestages” carried out manually.
Maceration time after fermentation: 7 days.
Malolactic fermentation: concrete tanks, working with fine lees.
Ageing: 10 months in concrete tanks.

Alcoholic content: 14.5% Vol.

Bottling: September 2010

Wine tasting note:
Sight: Attractive purple cherry tone, clean, with hues of blue and a good intensity.
Nose: Expressive and well defined tertiary aromas (tobacco, cinnamon, chocolate), fruity (glace strawberries, dry apricots and plums) and spicy (licorice).
Mouth: Balanced, with a good concentration, fresh tannins, red fruits (strawberries, cherries) and a tertiary finish (tobacco, licorice).

Variety: 91.5% Tempranillo and 8.5% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Origin: Tinedo Estate. Socuéllamos, Ciudad Real.

Climate and characteristic of the year: Medium growth cycle and fast ripening due to very warm winds at the beginning of September. The second half of September was cooler.

Harvesting: Manual, at the end of September.

Making and ageing:
Fermentation temperature: 28 ºC, in naked concrete tanks and open tanks.
Fermentation time: 3 days of cold maceration plus 7 days of alcoholic maceration, with dumping over and head plunging by hand. Partial work has been done with whole bunches.
Maceration time after fermentation: 14 days at low temperature and with CO2 protection.
Malolactic fermentation: Naked concrete tanks and used 225L barrels.
Ageing: 18 months in used 225L barrels.

Alcoholic content: 14.5% Vol.

The variety Airén,is the most widely grow grape in La Mancha, due
to the fact that it is able to withstand severe heat and dryness.
It requires short prunes and it produces big and untied yellow
clusters.
GROWING
The berries that give as result our VIÑA LUPARIA blanco joven,
result of bush vines planted 30 years ago, in a sandy and some
limy soil (20% aprox.). The plots are located at 800 m. of altitude.
The density is 1.700 vines/Ha
WINEMAKING
The berries were hand-picked during the first week of September.
After destemming and crushing, the juice of the grapes is put into
stainless-steel vats for maceration during 7 hours at 8ºC, and then
the juice was put in another stainless-steel vat for fermentation,
which lasted 10 days at 25ºC.
TASTING NOTES
Paid wine, attractive straw yellow colour with green iridescence.
Very fruity and suggestive aromas, with mellow notes and reminiscence of ripped apple.
Well balanced in mouth, fresh, long and tasty, with an acid end that guarantees the healthy life of the wine and underlines the fruit hints from the nose phase.
SERVING
Recommended with pasta, seafood, fish and white meats.
